ERJ-170 Tail Cone Question?

Fri Sep 23, 2005 7:23 pm

For lack of a better word, I am referring to the APU cone at the extreme aft end of the plane...

Why do all ERJ-170s seem to have unpainted cones? Other than the unfinished appearance of the cone, it is a beautiful plane... But it reminds me of a plane that's using a spare part from a different livery. You know, the classic UAL grey nose cone on the new white/blue livery...  Smile

Thanks for the help,

tsully

I love America. I guess that makes me Bush's poodle, but I'd rather be a dog in New York City than a prince in Riyadh.

Because they are titanium skinned, and paint will not stick to titanium.
