It Seems OS Goes For Boeing

Wed Sep 28, 2005 6:29 am

Tomorrow OS supervisory board meets in Vienna. After OS sold their two A342 to France there are some Speculations about the Replacement and the Future of the Longhaulfleet.

One Thing we know

.) OS is looking to get a 4th B772 and a 7th B763 in 2006

One Thing we´ll maybe know this week

.) OS is going for more T7 and for B787 !!! ( i never thought this )

I´ll keep you informed. As soon as i have news about that, i let you know.

It would not be surprising for OS to replace their B767s with B787-8s.

Actually, it would make sense that they are actually replacing both the A342 and the 763ER with the 788s. It makes sense considering the size and range. The 772ERs would be expansion aircraft.

Where would the 763 come from? Used or new?

Could be ex-UA or possibly leased in from somewhere like DE for the short term

What kind of engines does OS current 763 use? The UA ones would be P&W, I'm sure.

Could be one of the T7s that DL has scheduled for delivery? God knows they don't have the $ to take them.

Both are PW4056 powered. The only issue may be that the ex-UA aircraft may be "crippled" on paper and derated. OS would have to pay for the paperwork to be done to get the MTOW uprated

Not sure, DL birds were ordered with RRs. OS uses GE on their 777s
