Status Of IndiGo Airlines

Thu Sep 29, 2005 5:01 am

After putting themselves in the history books for one of the biggest fleet acquisition order(100 A320s to be exact), IndiGo airlines has been out of the news pretty much since then.

Does anyone know what is going on in terms of how close the airline is from leaving the ground? How is the airline going to manage such a big fleet? Can the airline sustain competition from all the other major LCC in India; it’s appearing to me that the market for air travel is on the verge of saturation there? How are they going to recruit that many pilots to fly these many airplanes?
