Greece Airways was set up FOR
Air Scotland I believe. They were set up by the guy who owns Air Scotland (he's Scottish/Greek I think). Their first few months they leased Thomas Cook 757 G-JMCG, as SX
-BLV (late 2003 - April 2004):
They then acquired their own aircraft SX
-BLW, an ex Air 2000 aircraft:
Flights are operated by Greece Airways, but also Air Scotland is a trading name of Greece Airways, so passengers are actually booking with Greece Airways. So they are schedueld flights now, unlike the charter operation when it was Electra/Air Holland. I can't ever see them doing work for anyone else, as it seems they are basically Air Scotland, with Greece as a flag of convinience. It really begs the question as to why he didnt just start the airline in the UK with G- reistered aircraft??
