Greece Airways

Hi Guys,

I know Greece Airways currently operate on behalf of Air Scotland but do they operate any other flights other than the above.

Whats their fleet like these day and anyone know what they're future plans are.

also

Did Greece Airways arrive from the defunct Electra with those DC10's.

Only Air-Scotland at this point with a single B757-200. They were planning to add L1011s but this did not happen so far and it does not look like it will happen anytime soon.

I heard about them trying to get L1011's.

Are these L1011's from Globejet Airlines at all (ex Transat i think). Heard that these were heading for greece so not sure if any connection at all

Greece Airways was set up FOR Air Scotland I believe. They were set up by the guy who owns Air Scotland (he's Scottish/Greek I think). Their first few months they leased Thomas Cook 757 G-JMCG, as SX-BLV (late 2003 - April 2004):

Flights are operated by Greece Airways, but also Air Scotland is a trading name of Greece Airways, so passengers are actually booking with Greece Airways. So they are schedueld flights now, unlike the charter operation when it was Electra/Air Holland. I can't ever see them doing work for anyone else, as it seems they are basically Air Scotland, with Greece as a flag of convinience. It really begs the question as to why he didnt just start the airline in the UK with G- reistered aircraft??
