I enjoy trivia and playing with statistics so I will share with you all the fact that there are now 100 GE-powered A330s flying. Airbus msn 699 A330-302 first flew on 13th September and is B-18308 for China Airlines.
For the record, the 100th PW-powered A330 was msn 490 and first flew on 18th July 2002. It's HL7710, a Korean Air A330-323X. The 100th RR A330 was the very next plane off the line (!) msn 491, an A330-243 A6-EAM for Emirates.
So, both PW and RR reached the 100 mark at the very same time in the summer of 2002 whereas it has taken GE three years to get there...
So far 374 A330s have been built. Of these, 100 have GE, 123 have PW and 151 have RR.
