What Airline Is This?

Sun Oct 02, 2005 5:29 am

Whilst at LHR today, I spotted a 733/4 coming out of T2 which looked like this:

http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=815971

except the writing on the tail was smaller and on the rudder (like Air India's writing)

Definatly a 737-300 or -400. Definatly red engines.

Any ideas?

I've got the link sorted now, sorry for any problems opening it.

I'm pretty sure its not the a/c in the picture, but very similar.

ummmm just checked LHR website and looked through the "which terminal?" bit which lists all airlines that fly from each terminal then i did a photo search of all the airlines! no such paint schemes i'm afraid!
must of been either a hybrid or a half stripped paint job or just between liveries!

sorry i cant help more!

Particularly if tou can remember the time or noted the reg go to http://www.lhr-lgw.co.uk/heathrow/lhrmainindex.htm in a couple of days. By then the site will list the ACARS for Heathrow on 1 October.

Your main problem will be that the aircraft is probably a substitute (possibly on a very short lease) operating for another airline that will be the airline listed on the ACARS report. This is why the time and / or the reg will help you.

I would imagine the most feasible answer would be Turkish.

Well deduced ZSOFN! According to LHR ACARS TF-ELV of Islandsflug operated OA2591 out of LHR on 1 October.
