DL Ending CHS-MCO; Re-starting MSY-MCO

Mon Oct 03, 2005 4:07 pm

Delta will be ending daily non-stop service between Charleston, SC and Orlando on 28 November. This follows the suspension of Charleston-Tampa, which ended last week. However, Delta will continue to offer daily Fort Lauderdale-Charleston service. I believe this might be the first time that a Southeast Delta station has Florida service that does not include Orlando.

On a brighter note, Delta will resume Orlando-New Orleans service on 1 November 2005, with only daily ERJ operated by Freedom Air.

Meh, MCO-CHS being gone is no real loss, and MCO-MSY returning is definitely a positive thing to note.

While not really Southeast per se, ORF had FLL service a few months before MCO service started.
