A345/A346 - Operators And Routes?

Tue Oct 04, 2005 12:36 pm

I'm trying to put together a list of all A345/A346 operators and what routes they're currently using them on now and in the near future - can you guys help me please?

Operators so far:

A345: AC, SQ, EK, TG

A346: VS, LH, SA, CX, TG, IB, MU

Not sure if I've missed any? As for routes, I don't know half of them!

Also, as a complete aside, anyone know when, exactly, NZ get their first 777 and what routes they're using it on?

Thanks, as always!

I flew on LH 346 from FRA-CAN-MNL and back last week.
Truly an awesome aircraft, and one of my best flights ever.

Thanks for the information folks, extremely useful.

I do know of one route which I had got which was not mentioned and that's SA who have started using A346 on their CPT-LHR route alternate days.

Thanks again.

I'm not sure, but if I'm not mistaken AC today flies three weekly YYZ-DEL with A343 and as of October 29 they will fly daily with 763 with stop-over in ZRH.

...

Once again... my schedule may have some errors. Corrections are welcome  Smile

That must be the longest schedulled nonstop both ways A343 flight with 11662km.

DEL-YYZ takes 15h30min which is a lot!! How can it be almost as long(duration) as, for example, the HKG-JFK(15h50min / 16h20min) flight by CX, which is almost 1500 km longer?!

That's awesome! North American routes can all get the brand new TG product. It was pretty cool using the 345 to BKK from JFK, if only we had not been delayed in JFK for 3 hours on the tarmac because of thunderstorms. Man it made the flight to a grand total of 20 hours!

Next I want to try SQ's 345 on EWR-SIN, They have a 2-3-2 configuration in economy which really helps as far as comfort wise since TG's 2-3-2 seating is only in premium economy.  thumbsdown

Wow, This is the winner for good luck!

I recently did this exact flight on a IB old-rottin' 747, with very very old and wasted configuration, a very very short leg space (killer), configured to pack 900 passengers, noisy, smelly, uncomfortable...and FULL... I still pray to get on this A346, but no, I had to get on the old grandma!  banghead  Pitty!

They should send one to CCS, the demand here is huge to go to MAD...

It's important to note that, as for IBERIA, they mix their aircraft type amazingly. None of their destinations has permanent A346 sevice.
GRU and GIG are rotated with A343, but they are mostly A346.

Lufthansa has now got 10 A346 (D-AIHx; x=A-L), 7 more are to come (x=M-S).
The 10 A346 have tweo class-config, the new 7 A346 will have F-Class too.

The 346 on YYZ and YVR-Routes have been stopped. In August 2005 a 346 was seen in CCS too. But this was only once and not planned.

MIA sees the IB 346 on ocassion, usually it is served by the 743 (Air Atlanta Equip). Not sure why MIA does not get regular 346 service?

SJU and SDQ get 346 / 343 service from IB. I have also see the IB 744 down in SJU!

VS sends the 346 to MIA several days of the week when the 744 is not used. They alternate...
