Air Canada Launches Hong Kong Freight Service

Thu Oct 06, 2005 1:45 am

Air Canada on Tuesday (4 Oct) launched twice-weekly freight services to HKG, complimenting existing services to Seoul & Shanghai, using wet-leased MD-11Fs from World Airways Cargo.

How many freighters do they ultimately plan on wet-leasing from World Airways and/or from other operators for route expansion?

What is their current global route network?

They had plans to get some B777F as part of the now defunct Boeing 777/787 orders---and of course there is now talk of reviving those orders so query as to whether they will still get any freighters.

they have expanded freight operations quite a bit lately there must be a few wet leased a/c

Quoting Hkg82 (Thread starter):

they are serving 5 x weekly FRA.

FRA was the first reopened cargo destination for them

I know they are also flying to LAX and MEX with the freighter.
