New Ted Route: ORD-SJD

Fri Oct 07, 2005 6:43 am

Now that the regulatory approval has been granted, this service will be operated with a mainline A320 on Saturdays, with SuTuTh service on Ted.

This will compete with AA's daily MD-80 service.

UA's LAX-Mexico routes are all mainline. LAX-Mexico traffic tends to be more high yield, even to vacation destinations, so it warrants it. Besides, Ted only does LAX-LAS out of LAX

It's worth noting that UA serves SFO-CUN on Saturdays with a mainline 757. During last year's high season there was a LAX-ZIH on Ted as well.

LAXZIH used mainline equipment. LAXZIH and DENZIH will operate this winter with mainline equipment.

LAXCUN, pending approval, will be daily with Ted.

I noticed on their route map that they're no longer flying from MDW to DC. Did they drop that route? If so, I belive Ted is only flying to DEN from MDW, right?

Actually... they're UAX/Mesa-operated CRJ700's, not EMB-170's.

Yes. I purchased a ticket on TED to fly MDW-IAD. I was about to have my first experience on TED, then I noticed a CRJ parked outside. damn
