Damaging An A/c

Sun May 14, 2000 3:41 am

Hello !
I have read some NTSB reports about tail strikes and some other accidents...
What happens to the pilots that "damages" an a/c ?
And if it is during a bad weather procedure ?
Well... always on the pilots' side !
See you....

It depends on the severety of the instance. If the pilot knowingly violated SOP's or broke an FAR, then he would probably lose his job. In th instance of a tailstrike or something like that, he would probably be retrained and required to take another proficiency check that would emphasize the manuever in question.
