Four Engine Swept Wing Twin Tail?

Sat Oct 08, 2005 10:23 pm

When landing at Houston George Bush yesterday at 1:55pm I saw a pure white swept wing four engined jet with a twin tail. It had no markings and was very futuristic looking. It appeared to be quite large, at least 757 size. Can anyone ID it.
It was parked in the open away from the main terminal

Maybe it's the six engined An-225

. I can't think of any other twin tailed four engined jet. "Quite large" is quite an understatement if it's actually the An-225, the biggest aircraft.
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

Possible, I was looking out of the window shortly before landing and was excited to see such a beautiful aircraft and it was not close enough to other aircraft to gauge its size. I think I would have recalled seeing six engines and thought I saw four only but we were above the aircraft. The wing was a very pronounced delta. Not as much as Concorde but pronounced. No marking either, Just pure white. The twin tail was unique as well.
A strikingly beautiful aircraft.

Has to be the An-225. It's been parked at East cargo since Wednesday, and you would have easily noticed it landing on 26L or 26R (far North runway). On Thursday there was also a Polet An-124 parked near it, but those don't have the split tail.
