Weird A/c Over SW Scotland

Thu Oct 13, 2005 12:21 am

A weird looking a/c has kept overflying my house a few times and I was wondering whether someone could identify it.
It's brown/green in colour, is a prop and has an extremely weird looking nose. It's a high wing a/c, kind of recembles a PC-6 or Dornier 228?!
Anyone any idea?

How many engines? one or 2? With 2 engines it could be an Islander.

What's that bulge on the nose in the pic. Looks like a radome of some sort
First Class passengers are my favourites. They can't get any further forward without an ATPL.

Army operated Defender perhaps? That's all I can think of. Although I wasn't aware they had any with the big radome on the nose.

Sure you aren't seeing things young kirk? Maybe alcohol induced? Big grin
