2010: New "Transporter" Device Could Replace Air Travel Very Soon!
Ground-breaking research has revealed that a revolutionary technology, called teleportation (or as Star Trek fans have known for decades as the "transporter") is quite feasible in the very near future. In fact, there have been successful tests using animals, which can seemingly vanish in one location and instantaneously reappear in another. Lately, successful tests of the "beaming" device on human volunteers hold great promise.
If all goes according to plan, travellers could see their first teleportation stations in use within ten years, offering a much quicker alternative to the congested airways and the airports bursting at the seams.
Virgin Atlantic Airways' CEO, Sir Richard Branson, is seriously mulling this revolutionary travel option as a "premier service" to its premium business customers, and plans to install "Virgin Transporters" in city-centre locations in London, New York City, Los Angeles, and other cities now served by the airline.
Other airlines, such as British Airways, United, and other global carriers have placed orders for the revolutionary devices to be placed in more convenient city-centre locations in their cities they serve. United and American Airlines officials in Chicago promote their upcoming revolutionary service as an "instant transport" service for their premium business passengers, who need to get somewhere for a meeting NOW and get home the same evening.
Who needs a supersonic airliner when you can just go to your city's local transporter terminal, step onto your pad, and instantly be transferred via folded-space transport or matter-energy transmission? Heck, it may eventually replace ALL
air travel for all classes of passengers! (Not to mention save a lot of oil and other costs).
In reality, I wish it would hurry up and happen! The human race has the potential to make such a leap in technology; what's slowing us down??
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made... (Psalm 139:14)
