About Eritrean And Daallo

Thu Oct 13, 2005 8:36 pm

I must fly on November the JED-JIB route with an 763 of B8 airline and after it, with an IL8 the JIB-HGA route of D3 airline  Sad

Someone has flown with these airlines and planes?

Thanks for the information.

P.S. Must I do a life insurance or not?

Take your Rosary. Brave boy! I would love to ride the IL8, not as brave as you though. Good luck, we will be thinking of you and keeping our eyes and ears open to the news !

I wouldn't worry whatever; instead, I'd be thoroughly excited.

I work for Astraeus, the airline that operates the LGW-CDG-JIB route for D3 Daallo Airlines. I would love a ride in one of the IL8s at Djibouti. Unfortunately, we have to get our crew rest whilst we're down there, so not really a possibility  Sad

the 763 of B8 is presently at AMS for some maintenance with KLM, so I'd guess you would be alright on that one...the IL8, though...................  Wow!

I did in 2003 on a Phoenix Air machine from Sharjah ! It was great fun. See

Well of course the safety of a Daallo Il-18 is not as good as a Cathay 777 but Daallo seems to deal pretty professionally and responsibly in this tricky environment... Didn't have crashes or so yet. Going by bus in the region is more dangerous.
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

The plans of my next tryp are:

I start with an AF flight from BCN to JED (320 and 772) + an B8 flight from JED to JIB (763) + an D3 flight from JIB to HGA (Hargheisa in Somalia) (IL18) + an ET flight from HGA to ADD (F50) + an KQ flight from ADD to NBO (737NG) +
a KL flight from NBO to BCN (772 and 738/9).

But I have a doubt. I heard that LX flies this route. In a quality words, which recommends me: BA, LX, SN or KL??

More:

Before Xmas, I must travel to ACC and as a colleague on this forum said, G0 starts flights from LON to ACC but I know that the plane will be used on this route will be a 752. Maybe use AF but... my company will tell me something.

And Soups!!!!! I´ll take an Antrak Air AT4 from ACC to OUA. I´ll relate my experience when I return from my last tryp in this year.

After my stay here, I´ll fly to TNR from JNB with D6 in a 732 (i´m wrong????). Comments about it will be thankful.

AF is not flying into ACC, just returned from ACC this morning on AZ (which was very bad by the way), it is a very nice place, nice people, you will enjoy it.

AZ planes are usually dirty from past experience.

Didn't someone used to fly JIB-ASM? I would like to visit ASM but it is not easy getting there.
