Wierd Colored A340-600 At TLS

Wed Oct 19, 2005 4:57 am

In RootsAir trip report about his recent trip to TLS he took a photo of a strange colored A340-600.

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b337/aeml/pic24.jpg

It's next to the China Airlines A330-300. I assume that the aircraft is an A340-600 and it appears to have the same colors of Thai but in yellow instead of purple.

Could this be some pre-paint?

Thank you!

I think it is a Thai A340-500 or 600!

Only one of the stripes has been painted, you can compare it to the other Thai A340 there!

Great to see the new TAM A330 there!

I'm not in the printing/painting industry but it seems clear that the brown/green areas which should be purple are still just in primer. That purple's so dazzling normally I wouldn't be surprised if it gets special consideration i.e. seperate painting.

The green on the plane looks like it could still be primer to me. Either that or Thai might be getting one in a special livery  Wink

No it's not. that's just an 'ordinary' TAM A330. It's the one next to the partially painted China Airlines plane.
