Perhaps this is an old hat, but I just came across this "new" business jet concept. What do you think about it or does it exist already?
"Per-Seat, On-Demand business jet service is a new type of air transportation for short-haul (under 600 miles) regional travel that combines the convenience of a corporate jet with the affordability of commercial airline service. Designed as a “no-frills” service to drive productivity gains for mid-level managers in high-impact positions, Per-Seat, On-Demand business jet service enables your employees to conduct day trips to and from small regional markets.
“Per-Seat” means you pay only for the seat you reserve, not the whole aircraft; it is a “shared-ride” service sold on an individual seat basis. “On-Demand” means you fly where and when it is convenient for you. You specify the airports of departure and destination, in addition to the latest time you need to arrive at your destination and the earliest time you are willing to leave.
Per-Seat, On-Demand is flown around your travel schedule and is priced according to how much time you are willing to allocate to make the trip. The more time you are willing to set aside for travel, the lower your seat price. Per-Seat, On-Demand always operates on your schedule, departing and arriving by the times you specify.
You will fly direct (point-to-point) from the community airport close to where you live or work to the community airport close to your final destination. You may make one stop (for refueling, passenger drop off, or passenger pick-up) before reaching your final destination. You will not have to change planes.
Per-Seat, On-Demand service is based on new-generation small jet aircraft featuring advanced technology that equals or exceeds commercial aircraft for safety and reliability. The cabin interior is comparable in size to an average mini van. Per-Seat, On-Demand service will be flown with 2 pilots and up to 3 passengers. "
