Could this affect travel plans I have with AOM this summer? Thanks,
Ben

No, not at all. The merger is not expected that soon and if something would change about the structure of these three airlines, the only thing that could happen is that you do not fly with AOM but eg Air Liberté. But your ticket will still be valid, why shouldn't it. If something changes, which is very unlikely before the summer, than it can only be in a good way.
Have a nice flight,
kind regards

No, I don't think so. With this merger these airlines want to compete AF within France. They are all (partialy) controlled by SAirGroup. They will increase flights and build a hub-system in Nice and Paris-Orly. It won't have any effects on your flight with AOM.

Good to hear. I always get nervous when I hear the word merger, but I suppose they need to come together to have a standing chance against Air France. Actually i'm kinda glad that they are coming together. Maybe it will force AF to lower their prices and ameliorate their service. Competition is always good for the consumer. In any case, a merger anouncement is better than a declaration of bankrupcy   That would have opened a big can o' worms.....

This will certainly lower prices for regional flights in France and both companies will have to stay alert to have the best service. With all the knowlegde of SR, this cannot be a problem. As you see, with SN in Belgium, and all these carriers in France now part of SR and together with SR and Crossair itself, the SAir Group is creating a nice group of European Airlines, which become more and more attractif to alliance partners. (And I do not mention other Qualiflyer partners now). Hopefully AA will see this and compete together with SR-alliance in Europe against AF/DL.

Sndp you are right. It will be very interesting what will happen in the next months regarding SR/SN/AA.

Hi!

I'm very glad to hear that piece of news.
Why?
Because France needs a strong enough airline to compete with Air France.
I hope it will lower the prices; and why not enhance the service...
New competitor=more destinations served and lower prices.

Olivier
