Im writing a report on Ryanair for my Business Skills module at Napier University Edinburgh, and need more information about the airline, so I would be greatful for some help.
1 - Ryanair's aircraft are all registered in Ireland, are there any reasons for this apart from it being an Irish Airline (I know this sounds stupid, but are there different rules, regulations etc that aids ryanair in its LCC operation???)
2 - Is there anywhere I can find information on the deregulation and the policies for flying between EU countries ie what procedures do Ryanair have to go through before opening up new routes.
3 - What exact deals do Ryanair negotiate? Is it to do with discounted landing fees, or do they receive money from airports, or is it to do with how much they airports charge per pax?
4 - Are Ryanair still paying back the money to CRL?
5 - Are the credit and debit card charges imposed (they are higher than other airlines) a discreet way of adding a fuel surcharge onto the fare?
6 - The boeing/ryanair deal, what sort of discounts did they receive?
7 - How much revenue do they make from other sales? percentage wise. Ie inflight sales, travel insurance, car hire, bus transfers etc (Do Ryanair take a percentage of the money charged on the transfer buses from their secondary airfields to the city centre?)
8 - Whats the make up of the pax like on Ryanair? Are they popular with business passengers when they fly often 45 minutes to 1 hr 15 minutes away from the city advertised?
9 - What % of bookings are made through the internet?
10 - How do Ryanair use technology? Ie at check in I have noticed they dont use a computer system, why is this. easyJet keep using the latest technolgy in check in and boarding which may have initial set up costs, are Ryanair planning to follow. How does the check in to boarding work with Ryanair if they dont use computers?
11 - What are the average salaries for Ryanair employees?
Well.....I think thats about it for now, it would be great to hear replies from everyone with information (im sure Pearson will have something to tell me!!!) If there are any employees of the airline that could help it would much be appreciated as I have 3 weeks to complete the report now.
