Varig Log B727F Overshoots Runway

Sat Oct 29, 2005 1:54 am

Folha.com.br is reporting that a Varig Log "Boeing" overshot the runway at FLN early this morning due to heavy rain. The B727F is the only Boeing freighter RG operates. No injuries were reported.

The airports only runway has already been re-opened (around 5:30am) and no major delays reported.

Glad to hear no one was hurt!

Well, technically the article only mentioned the aircraft "exited" and "slid" off the runway... it could have slid off the rwy to either side, not necessarly overshooting the rwy.

I'll keep an eye open for a more descriptive article.

Cheers
