There are 7 scheduled ABX
flight into and out of RIV
6 days a week. The inbounds land 2000-2230L and the departures leave 0130-0345L.
Flights are RIV
(DC9). A few of the flights have connecting legs, ie. RIV
. The flights return from the same airfields. Occassionally there is a C208 (Cessna Caravan) that flies back and forth MHR
The DHL ramp is not part of the ARB. That portion of the airfield belongs to the JPA. The State of California has allocated funding to move the CDF tankers from HMT
and they will move to that area of the field after it is built (and some politics plays out).
won't be going anywhere as it performed well under the BRAC. There are actually 2 x KC
-135R squadrons based there. One is the 163rd (ANG) and the other is the 452nd (AFR). Under BRAC, the 163rd loses their aircraft. The 452nd gets 4 of them (for a total of 12) and the other 5 are shipped to, IIRC, Knoxville and Pease. The first 4 x C-17s have been delivered with the next 4 to be delivered every 3 weeks. The full complement of 8 x C-17s will be at RIV
by Christmas. There are actually more than 2 x F-16s there, but 2 are on alert. The units have changed from being based at FAT
to now being based at GTF
. There have been commercial airliners at RIV
all week, mostly arriving in the morning (around 0700L). Just today, there was a WOA MD
-11 on the ramp.
