Mon Oct 31, 2005 5:04 am

The body of the 92-year-old Parks, who died Monday at her home in Detroit, was brought to Montgomery on a chartered jet flown by Lou Freeman, the first black man to become a chief pilot for a U.S. carrier, according to Southwest Airlines

Looks like they flew her remains down Saturday afternoon on a Southwest 737-300. Strange thing, there was a second 737 that flew down Sunday from MDW.

I wonder if Lou will be flying her MDW-DCA, since she'll be laying in state in the Capitol Rotunda later this week? DCA spotters, take note!

Actually it's MGM-BWI. We're getting everything set up right now for the arrival, ETA 1715. Then the casket will be escorted to the Capital.
