As per FI news PIA inked today 7 ATR42-500. Deliveries to start mid 2006.

I would really like to know how ATR has won this order.
Once PIA though at the Saab2000 , by placing an order (second hand machines) along with the Pakistan AF for AEW planes.
Then they announced the selection of the DHC-8 family !!!!!!!!..........and finally the order for the F27 replacement goes to the ATR basket.
In fact their very first order was placed when they announced they will be the launch customer for the shelved N250 project.
With this ATR order this is the end of this strange story !!!!!!
