Swiss Saabs And Darwin Airlines

Fri Nov 04, 2005 6:57 pm

Swiss has very recently ceased operation of the Saab 2000.  banghead

As the largest Saab 2000 operator in the world (so i believe), does anyone know if these aircraft have new homes?

Swiss has been wet/dry leasing the Saabs across Europe for the last 18-24 months, with the likes or CarpitAir leasing 2 or 3 of them.

Darwin Airlines have taken HB-IZG and HB-IZH, there website say's there hoping to add a 4th aircraft by summer 2006....didn't know they had a third !

So.......

Does anyone have iny idea where the "Concordino" is going,
Does anyone know anything about Darwin's 3rd or 4th Saab2000?

Would it be worth Darwin taking all the Saabs? (subject to finances), and trying ro build a market with Berne and Lugano, as Swiss seem to show interest in these airports?

Would Baboo be able to increase it's network with Saabs?

I love the Saab 2000, and would love to see Swiss Avaition keep them.

On a side note: Any have any idea what happened to the "Mini Concordino's".
Where did they go?
