B6 Is Testing A New Homepage

Sat Nov 05, 2005 4:47 am

as per jetblue.com: "We're testing a prototype of a new jetblue.com homepage and would love to know what you think.
Please click here to comment on this new design. Thanks for visiting jetblue.com."

It's pretty nice, see for yourself @ http://www.jetblue.com. Still no i-route map yet, though looks like they're starting to jazz up the site a bit. Leave your feedback!

I like the 4 rotating links and that Online Check In is on the homepage.

Looks exactly the same to me on the homepage.

I like it. It's much different from what you see at something like AA, which is much more business-like. This one is easier to use than the other prototype, IMO, and also draws more attention to deals, the JetBlue Card, etc.

I wrote them about allowing us to view which seats are available before booking a flight. I've been nagging them about this forever. If enough people request this, then they'll eventually do it. So request it!

BTW the homepage seems to be fluctuating from the new page to the old page. I assume this new format was just put into the system and there are still a couple of bugs to work out.

It seems as though its a random testing. In order to view the different look, just refresh the page enough times until something new comes up. Worked for me.

I like it too. I recommended making the border between each quadrant a little more defined because each section [Online Check In, Book a Flight, Quick Links, etc.] all seem to melt together.

I also asked when they plan on getting an interactive route map. PLEASE can we ALL mention that? LOL

I was kind of curious as to why B6 doesn't have the ability to look up flights and fares directly from the homepage, as so many other airlines do (at least on the old homepage, not sure if they've changed it for the new one as it hasn't come up for me yet). Perhaps someone could shed some light on that.

I'll request that too (though I have many times in the past). Along with the interactive route map, I also think that a seat map of each and every flight would be very helpful to travelers. We should all request that too.

I don't really consider that a brand new homepage. All it really is is that they added something on the bottom. I don't know, maybe I didn't pay attention to the old one enough.

I actually don't like it. Too bland.

Well it is an improvement, the changing slides with stuff on it and the stuff along the bottom, but the stuff on the bottom was just moved over from the right side. I was hoping for a total makeover but I guess I can live with this. I was actually starting to like that new fading blue thing at the top with info on it so I suggested they incorporate that back in. I really want a really cool website that is all blue in the background with an INTERACTIVE ROUTE MAP and have it look better.
