AF Flies 777 And 340. Why?

Sun Nov 06, 2005 12:22 am

I know this is old old old news, but can someone tell me why AF would purchase the 777 when they already have the 340 (and are from the country most wedded to the success of the 340)?

Do they perform different missions for AF?

Thanks

The 777s are used on routes with more "premium" passengers, because they allow a first class with more space. A340s are used on routes with similar passenger numbers, but less "premiums".
