Are you amezed because the flght does not only show Economy seats available?

Everyday 3 IB flights departing MAD, from the same Terminal and are connected to the same gate

08/11 12:15 CARACAS IBE6701 IBERIA 1 A6
08/11 12:15 CARACAS IBE5109 IBERIA 1 A6
08/11 12:15 CARACAS IBE6703 IBERIA 1 A6

Check the other flight numbers to see if you have availability

Check the other flight numbers to see if you have availability

IB6701 / BCN-CCS
IB5109 / TFN-CCS
IB6703 / MAD-CCS

and of course the same flight ex MAD...

but also on the other flight numbers (not with origin MAD), I see the flights full in Eco.

just rechecked the flight and I found following

select &
continue
Iberia
Flight: 6703
Departs
Madrid (MAD)
December 4
12:15 pm Arrives
Caracas (CCS)
December 4
4:25 pm Notes
Cabin class: J9 D9 I9 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N8 Q0 O3
Meal:
Distance: 4356 mi
Stops: non-stop
Flight Time: 9:10

how is this possible, 2 weeks ago the flight was fully booked (oversold) and only seats in business open, and now again nearly all classes are wide open, also the cheapest is still open...

How is this possible? I would understand if the flight would be lightly open again due cancelacions, but now with many seats in all booking classes?

When a pax or a travel agency makes a reservation, there´s a time limit to confirm it, that´s why this is very usual to happen.
Statistics of now show pax on flights to Latin America are the highest in the industry, that's why Airlines usually overbook flight by 30 per cent.

Pax makes reservations that never use, or Travel Agencies just " block" those seats to sell them in the future, but the airline reconfirm all those seats as the flight gets near, and the reservation system erase all those seats.

Its, normal even from one day to the next day, flights might change from overbooked to open.

Are you traveling NON rev?

This is due to revenue management playing with the flight to see what happens in terms of demand. Latin routes are one of the strongest (if not the strongest) ethnic markets in Xmas time.

I guess you are flying nonrev?

thanks for all information!

oh no this time not, as mentioned the traffic to latinamerica before x-mas is ... so no non-rev...

This time nomrally booked, I am just askin because a A340-600 is plnd for the flight .... but with low loads the could switch it to the A340-300 (this aircraft is used normally on the CCS run)
