I Think Boeing Should Do This

Sat May 20, 2000 3:58 am

You know how Boeing builds their 747-400F's like the 747-200 with winglets? I think that Boeing should offer that kind to airlines for passengers. I would love to see a new aircraft that looks like the 747-200 with airlines. Don't you?

Actually Boeing offered this type of aircraft to the airlines about 1-1 1l/2 years ago. I believe that it was called the 747-400ERX if I am not mistaken. It had the fuesalage of the 747-200 and the wing root insert and wing of the 747-400F. While the aircraft had better performance possibilities over the 777-200LR and A340-500 airlines opted not to pursue it.
