What Happened To Southern Winds?

Mon Nov 14, 2005 8:47 am

I was in Argentina last month and flew several routes (AEP-MDZ, MDZ-AEP, AEP-IGR, IGR-AEP) but I never saw a Southern Winds plane. Where do they fly? I heard they only had one operational aircraft? All their ticket counters were deserted.

They were left out of the Gov. aid for the fuel and stopped all current operations. The planes went back to the lessors, and the airline with it's rights it's being sold to a private group.
All this happened after the ''narcovalijas'' scandal.
They are gone.
And add to all this Air Madrid for the Spain routes, and Lan Argentina and you have a ''Fatality''. **insert sick Mortal Kombat Voice**  Wink
