Stansted On 17 November...Aanything Special?

Tue Nov 15, 2005 10:16 pm

Hey Folks,

I'm thinking of heading to Stansted on Thursday 17 November.

I'm fed-up with FR and EZY movements...Does anyone know there's anything "special" worth heading there for?

Or does anyone know if theres anything at SEN/CBG worth driving out for? I know SEN/CBG are quiet...but they get some weird maintainance there on occassions.

Thanks

Hi there,

You might want to check out BAA flight arrivals (www.stanstedairport.com) and Flytecomm (www.flytecomm.com - go to 'Track a Flight' and enter EGSS), this will give you a rough idea what's regular. Off the top of my head I can't think of anything particularly unusual for Thursdays, but you might also want to check the Stansted lists at both Yahoo and Google for more info.

Hope this helps,

STN isn't really the airport you want to go to if you dont want to see FR's or EZY's. Ryanair operate approx. 140 flights a day out of the place. You may catch a glimps of the MaxJet 767 and Eros 757 if you arrive early enough along with a Tui 757 and maybe Thomas Cook A320. The ElAl flights operate late afternoon and late at night on certain days.

As mentioned above the BAA website is probably the best place to look.

STN doesn't realy get many types of aircraft, mostly just 737's and A32X's with the occasional other aircraft!

AN124 is due in STN on the 17th, also is the MaxJet 762 and the EOS 752, may also get a A330 from TCX, should get some 757's also, also look out for the MD82 from IcelandExpress!
