Flight Number 001 Or 0001

Sun Nov 20, 2005 10:34 pm

I just started a research of the flight number of airlines. Could someone help me find the destinations of flight number 001 or 0001 of each airline? If this tropic was discussed before, please show me the link. Thanks in advance.

e.g. :
CX001 : HKG - DXB - MAN
Kai Tai - I missed you so much

Seems to me the most famous flight 001 used to be PanAm. Flight 001 went one way around the world, while flight 002 went the other.

I couldn't agree more, certainly the classiest of the 001 flights! No longer in use, and hopefully BA will keep it that way as a long lasting tribute. Did AF use 001 for their Concorde flights?

The routings on PA001 and PA002 were a little more complex than stated in an earlier post. In 1969 PA001 operated LAX/HNL/TYO/HKG/BKK/RGN/CCU/either DEL or KHI/THR/BEY/IST/FRA/LON/JFK. PA002 operated the reverse schedule fom JFK to LAX.

I'm too lazy to read thoroughly, but BA had:

BA001: LHR - JFK (Concorde).

A bit of a nitpick, but that is in fact NZ2. NZ1 is LHR-LAX-AKL.

Great stuff Clipper002! I had to look up a city code list to get through that one!

What an amazing list of cities. Sure says a lot about how great PA once was.
