CO 757's

Does anyone know if CO is going to modify the the 757-200 cabin to match
the 737NG & 757-300's style?

I thought it already was like the rest of them?

Do you mean upholstry wise or something else?

Between a 777, 767, 757, and 737...I could not tell the difference (except for the obvious).

Not right now. The 757-200's will retain the older over head bins and sidewalls. The 757-200's are however all receiving the BizFirst Cabin and the new EFX entertainment system. Great system!!! The new overheads will come a few more years down the line...

I prefer the 757-200 Y seats to the 753 ones. The 753 ones have less padding and this seat slide feature on recline that makes them really hard to put upright (though it might be slightly more comfortable, I don't know). I do know the F/As are constantly having to help pax push the seatback up on the 753.

I'll just be happy when the 753 gets 24F back, and the 752 goes 16BF across the fleet.

I get to fly the BF product transcon after christmas at dinner time, so it'll be interesting to see what kind of meal service I'll get. I don't think I've flown F between EWR-LAX as upgrades are usually hard to get, but this time I'm paying for the front so I'll get to try.

It's the same service as you get on the 767/777 BF cabins, just the 2x2 seat arrangement difference. I did EWR-EDI-EWR last year up front, and it was quite comfortable, practically no difference from the widebody. You'll like it.

Having recently flown LAX-EWR-OSL on 752's I wish they had more legroom. Both flights were at least 98% full so I guess there's no money in it for them.

If CO can fill a 752 midweek in November to Oslo then they're doing something right. If SAS has the 340's or 330's on the same route I would easily choose them.

I had a chance to pass through EWR yesterday and saw at least three 757's with winglets installed. Any idea how many they are up to...?? It does give the 757 a new interesting look..... There was also several CO 737's running around with them installed also...and it looked like different models

The CO 752s are getting some interior improvements, but will not get the 777 style interior now found on CO's 767/737NG/753 fleet.......sidepanels and ceiling trim remains the same, although the 752s do have oversized overhead storage compartments that have the same capacity as the newer look interior. All 752s will get the BF set-up up front eventually, with the new IFE system (which allows 3 coach seats to be added....the new system does not need the storage cabinet now located my the mid-cabin entry door), power points for both BF and economy, and some other minor items.

CO's 752s have 31 inch pitch in coach, I agree, it can be a bit tight.....thats why everyone wants to sit in row 16 on the 752; lots of legroom and recline! CO is doing rather well out of Oslo......no competition.....SAS's A330/340s are far too big for the route.

CO's transcon service is a mix of domestic first and BF catering......and you will have your ice cream sundae. The linen, china and service by course are similiar to BF.....but the service is not as elaborate.

I did both 757 Bizfirst to Europe and 757 Bizfirst transcon this summer /early fall. Must say that there were only small differences, i.e. lack of cheese and port, and pre-landing meal. Both trips can be found under trip-reports, with a lot of pictures and more details.
