LAN A-319 At Frankfurt/FRA - One Question.

Fri Dec 02, 2005 8:44 pm

Hi.
For several weeks I'm wondering about this A-319 at FRA.

I'm not going to ask why it's at FRA I know that Airbus uses some German airports for test-flights. But why is this taxiing to the gates? If you know FRA you know where the plane on the pic is. It's in a oneway to the gate. Why?
Hope somebody can help.

-Arrived at FRA on a Airbus Test flight arriving as AIB 002.
-What a rare sight we got here on an Airbus Ind.-flight into FRA... nice to see a LAN-A319
-Performing a touch and go on runway 09R on test flight from Finkenwerder.

Airbus Ind. = Airbus Industry (totally shit comment there)

I guess this a/c did some testing within Germany, as there are also pics showing her doing some touch an goes at Hannover ...
I dont know , if thats the usual testing programm bevor delivery .... ?

Maybe another "insider" can figure out if proceeding to the gate is part of the testing program which usually consists of touch'n goes.

From a German Spotter Forum I got the info that it had a gate position for about one hour or so.

But they don't know why too.
