Focus Haiti Airways

Focus Haiti Airways d/b/a Caribbean Pearl Airways received US DOT approval to begin flights from Port-au-Prince to Miami, New York and San Juan with wet-leased 727-200 equipment.

Good news. Would be nice to think that some degree of political stability will take place in Haiti, resulting in peace and prosperity for its people and hopefully attract a share of tourists.

After all its neighbour Dominican republic has done very well from tourism so lets hope in time that Haiti will attract tourists to its beaches.

They are planning on initially operating a daily Falcon Air 727 on MIA-PAP early next year. Lets see if this gets off the ground...

It definitely would be great, but unfortunately, that's still a long shot...

Actually during every 'high' season (winter holidays and summer), a Falcon Air 727 comes a few times a week to PAP. I don't know who charters it though.

There are many airlines in the plans in Haiti, both domestic and international, but very few of those plans actually become reality...

Let's hope this one do come alive.
