CO Voucher-DEN To?

Tue Dec 06, 2005 1:42 pm

Hey everyone, here is the situation.

I took a trip for work from DEN to SAT (San Antonio) in mid November and on the way back, CO overbooked our 735 to IAH.

Anyway, we, my girlfriend and I, volunteered to take the 6:25 UA direct to DEN CRJ700 flight the next morning.

CO gave us $300 vouchers. Mackenzie and I are wondering where we should go. Since this forum is full of aviation geeks, haha, I thought I would ask here. Since IAH is a main hub for CO, most the flights through CO are expensive and go through IAH or CVN.

DEN to JFK is cheap, but still don't get to fly on any extraordinary A/C. Any ideas, suggestions? We need to use them by November 2006.

Thanks! Nick

How about DEN-DCA/IAD/BWI? If you route through IAH, I believe you might get on a 753 (DEN-IAH). CO metal to the DC area is unremarkable, though... 733, 73G, 738, 739, and ERJs. Fares from DEN to the DC area are generally good on CO.

Take note: fares to BWI *might* be particularly good starting in Jan... with WN entering the competition mix.

I bet if you booked DEN-IAH-EWR...you'd be able to get on a 753 to IAH, a 772 or 764 to EWR, another 772 or 764 to IAH and a 739 to DEN. that would be a trip with interesting equip. if you ask me.

You'd even have PTVs for your 777 and 767 flights. Pretty nice.
