Boeing Deliveries Thread / December 2005

Tue Dec 06, 2005 2:25 pm

Following on from November's thread here....

Emirates' next B773ER A6-EBI departed Everett half an hour ago at 0444 UTC for Dubai as 'UAE777'.

Vietnam's next B772ER VN-A150 has been airtesting at PAE in full colours.

The next B744 will be B-2475 for Air China Cargo and has been seen already fully painted. Will probably take to the air for the first time later this week.

BFI >

China Eastern B737 B-5097

What's the problem with N225WN? Usually the Southwest aircraft are delivered pretty quickly.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the information you provide.  thumbsup

Here is a snippet regarding the first Etihad/EY B777-300ER (A6-ETA). Scheduled delivery as of todays planning is supposed to be 17 Jan 2006..... So it's going to sit a while longer. Then -ETB/C/D/E will follow rapidly, I believe all within 5 weeks of -ETA...

There have been some quality issues with some 737s lately. I have heard of a B5 and B4 flight being done on a couple of '37s last week, which is insane. Most do two B2 flights, so 4 or 5 would indicate issues of some sorts.

Silly question.. (having lived in Seattle, I've always wondered, but never asked)

Are the first flights from RNT -> BFI? or do they fly to PAE first and then to BFI? Im just imaginging the flight from RNT->BFI as the shortest test flight in the world.

Just wondering! No scolding, please!

Jeff, valid question.

When leaving RNT they usually fly to MWH then to BFI. Occasionally they go to PSC instead of MWH.

The biggies out of PAE always seem to go to MWH then back to PAE.

Royal might be able to comment further.

So when did she enter service? I'm in DUB at the moment with Dazultra and Jamotcx awaiting FR558 in a few hours. According to http://www.ringwayreports.co.uk/whatsdue.htm the flight is operated by EI-DHY?

Myt332, that's very likely as the plane would have been in Dublin mid afternoon on the 7th. They usually go into service pretty quickly.

Southwest's B737 N225WN finally got off the ground on delivery on 8/12 as 'SWA8500' to Phoenix, after suffering some quality issues (N226WN delivered on 30/11).

Turkish's B738 TC-JGG was due to hand over on Friday but no reports of it having left BFI, so it will probably go today (10th) if it hasn't done so already.

Adding to RobK's list, in the alst few days there have appeared some new 737s at BFI awaiting delivery.
1835 is N228WN for Southwest, first flight (ff) 06.12.05
1836 is for Ryanair, ff 07.12.05. I guess EI-DLB if EI-DLA is not used
1837 is B-5202 for Air China, ff 08.12.05
1838 is for Shandong Airlines, ff 09.12.05, probably -700 B-5207
1839 ff 09.12.05, unknown

With daily new 737s it should take only one more month til line 1868, that is the 5000th overall boeing 737 (3132 classics built with separate line numbers).
Anyone knows its ID yet?

I get this info on pretty much a daily basis so don't bother posting it unless it's something of significance. I think folks are only really interested when they're on delivery, or about to.

Yes, N230WN for Southwest.

1840/1 are believed to be VH-VYI/J for Qantas.

SunriseValley, ZK-OKC will be a while yet and no sign so far. Line 542 which is Emirates A6-EBJ took to the air for the first time on 8/12 and there's two Etihad's and an Air France to roll out before the NZ.

Callsign for test flights will be BOE488.

I'm not experienced in that field I'm afraid. I think it'll probably be the end of January before ZK-OKC flies, but I'm only guessing here.

If Royal is watching this thread he can probably answer better for you.

Apparently Vietnam's latest B772ER left PAE for Hanoi on 8th on delivery, but no other details known here.

Currently in the air as I speak is Turkish B738 TC-JGG which left on 10th at 2234z as 'THY8108' from BFI to Keflavik (due credit to Matt Cawby for this "heads up"). Tracking.

Maybe a bit further down the line as 1840 has been indentified as B737-7 B-5054 for China Eastern!

Line 1839 has been identified as the first Wedge for Turkish Air Force. F/f 9/12 in primer as N1786B, no dome and no winglets, model 7ES.

Planesarecool, EI-DLB left BFI without winglets. I believe that winglets for the fleet will be fitted at Prestwick as they seem to be an aftermarket fitment rather than a Boeing fitment, if that makes sense.

Hi Danny,

The delivery of A6-ETA (and the subsequent 4 )was for two reasons.

1: Boeing strike...
2: The seat manufacturer is quite behind schedule...

I think -ETA was originally intended for delivery around Nov last year... All the other 4 are on the production line in various stages of completion.

-ETA is scheduled for delivery around 27 Jan 2006... Inshallah...
