I've just returned today from CUN to TLC with our brand new carrier INTERJET, and shortly before we aborded, TZ from MDW was arriving. It s a 737-800 w/winglets.

Now a days CUN is receiving very few flights from every where, except for MEX/TLC .Between 1500 to 1630 LT there were merely 5 planes on terminal A a CO 737 xxx to IAH, DL 757 to ATL, F9 to DEN, TZ to MDW and an AA757 arriving from MIA I think.

At Terminal B there were 4 flights to MEX TLC in that moment ZE 737 700 Magnicharters 737 200, MX A320 and Interjet A320 to TLC.

I think that if TZ was to canx that flight this would be the time, so I think the flight will go on for sure next month

I think that you probably don't need to worry. Here's why:

They just announced service suspensions to Florida, SFO, etc., for MID-2006, most of which were flights on which they had not yet sold tickets, a point they made a point of pointing out (!) in their press release. Accordingly, if they were going to cancel your flight, they already would have done it. Also, I don't know why people worry about this so much when carriers dropping routes on short notice routinely protect pax on other airlines.

So don't worry, be happy, and remember that, at least in the old days (and probably the upcoming days) "On ATA You're On Vacation!".

Best,

Bill

The MDW-CUN route is to stay.
35 years of American Trans Air/ATA Airlines, 1973-2008. A great little airline that will not be soon forgotten.
