Virgin Nigeria At Gatwick Question

Thu Dec 08, 2005 12:53 pm

As many of us know, Virgin Nigeria recently transferred its London operations from Heathrow to Gatwick. I was able to find that Virgin Nigeria operates from the South Terminal at Gatwick, but does anyone know which finger? Thanks in advance.

Well, here's a photo of them on stand, but not sure which one it is. Maybe someone more familiar with LGW could identify it?

It looks like the Satellite (stands 31-38) which is also where most VS flights go from.

So, this must mean that the much maligned VK A340 G-VBUS (or something like that) won't be doing any India rotations any more!  champagne

It's probably the same as the VS situation...

they most of the time use the satellite terminal, but very occasionally can be seen at the large terminal finger instead.

On the photo its on stand 31 but I have also seen them on 34 and 19 so really depends on stand availability. If its very busy you also sometimes get a VS 744 on stand 25, but 95% of the time it will be a 31-38 gate

How is this flight selling? Is VK doing OK?

It is very easy to get the vapors imaging all the money to be made in Nigeria, only to watch everything collapse in a heap.

the VS port harcourt normally departs from stand 21 i think, but this is a 23:45 departure i think!
