Flying Into LHR

Wed May 24, 2000 11:08 pm

Hello,

Hello, my name is matt and I am flying into LHR this summer. I leave oklahoma city at 12:45 and arrive at chicago at around 2:00 P.M. i have a two hour overlap there and then depart at about 4:00 P.M on British Airways. I have three questions. one, what time will I arrive at LHR? two, will I be able to visit the cockpit in flight on British Airways? and last, I am flying in economy class, so will I have a t.v. in the back of my seat or just a big one in front of the whole section?
Thanks for your time.

Matt

you will arrive at LHR early in the morning. probably around 6:00 or 7:00. On BA flights they let you into the cockpit if you ask most of the time. i don't know about the ptv.

Fly Virgin. They have TV's on seatbacks on all aircraft 747-200/400 and
A340's. I don't know about cockpit visits on Virgin.

Virgin fly to Heathrow from JFK, Newark, Chicago, Los Angeles, SFO,
Washington DC/Dulles and to Gatwick from Orlando, Miami, Boston
and Newark.

They code share with Continental.

If you are flying British Airways, their current information states you'll be flying BA298 to London, which departs Chicago - O'Hare at 5:30pm. You will arrive at London's Heathrow Airport at 7:20am the next day. You'll be flying a Boeing 747, though it doesn't mention the specific series (-200, -400, etc.). But if you're on one of the 747-400's, I would be pretty sure that you'll get one of the newly outfitted aircraft with Personal TV's in every class, new ergonomically designed seats, and more. A bit more information that should probably be helpful to you is you'll be departing from O'Hare's Terminal 5 (International Terminal) and arriving in Heathrow's Terminal 4.
