Great! I'm on the ground at the moment...but I'm still excited by one of the first airborne messages in this forum!

Which aircraft/registration are you flying on?

Have a nice flight!

Well I don't know the rego im afraid - I didnt check. Can any of you boffins out there check?

Also speed of connection is almost broadband. Slightly slower. but Very fast all the same. VEry easy to connect - however I had a free voucher as they are promoting it. HOwever if you don't then you follow the steps as if you were connecting to any wireless network  Smile

You'll probably read this on the ground already, Ansett767 -- you're on 9V-SPP, the 744 with fusion SQ-Star Alliance colors.

Does anyone know how many planes with the Connexxion by Boeing thing SQ has?

EHHO - I didn't notice any special livery on our plane today? Odd....

Anyway I think only London has this facility at the moment, could be wrong though - I have a feeling my next flight to Sydney doesnt. Anyway, just was so novel to be surfing, checking the item I had bit on EBAY for (and won) haha and finding out the result of X factor for someone else on board who wanted to know.

The world has gone technologically crazy! (in a good way)

Connexxion rules!! Good to hear SQ starting to roll this service out. Must admit SAS and LH have been successful luring me on-board when heading to Europe these days due to Connexxion service on their flights (even though most are A340's!!)

My guess is that it was 9V-SPQ.

I may indeed have been wrong at first by assuming 9V-SPP. ACARS logs show two entries for SQ321 on the 17th: 9V-SPP on 00:04 GMT at Balatonfoldvar in Hungary and 9V-SPE at 22:29 GMT in Walton-on-Thames, England. I did not pay attention at the scheduled flight times, so perhaps our friend Ansett767 was on SPE rather than SPP.

Where do you have your info from, JoCGN?

Hi Maxim,

I think you are right with 9V-SPE.
I took the info from www.acarsd.org (which shows the plane for SQ321 LHR-SIN at 21:24 hours as 9V-SPQ). However, 9V-SPQ is not included in any of the Yahoo Acars Group logs for this flight/date. 9V-SPP is the a/c that departed from LHR as SQ321 on December 16 (supported by both the Walton-on-Thames log on December 16 and the Balatonföldvar log on the early morning of December 17).
So 9V-SPE is the 744 leaving LHR as SQ321 to SIN on December 17.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Regards, Jo.

Morvious,

The cost is $30 for the entire flight but you can also buy certain amounts of time. Not TOO bad considering it is new technology and you're able to surf from the plane!
