LH001 is the weekday morning flight from HAM - FRA. Not as exotic as #1's of other airlines, but it was the first flight Lufthansa flew after the war.
They re-enacted it a few months ago for Lufthansa's anniversary with a specially painted A321.

Pan Am 1 and 2 were their "round the world" flights. Im not sure which one went what direction, but I think they both started in JFK and took 2(?) days to fly back to JFK...maybe someone can help me out with the specifics as I am a bit young and only heard this from my dad who worked for Pan Am...

In the early 70's Delta operated DL001 ORD-MIA 747 departing at 0900. It was named "The Royal Poinciana", aftera type of flower that grows in Florida. We had a sign we would post above the name "Miami" with the name of the flight. I actually had a few complaints because the passengers were told the flight was non-stop!

PA 001 originated at SFO and terminated at IDL. Just the reverse of PA 002. As a kid, we used to take 1 from SFO to HNL and home on 2. 707-320B's in those days. 9:00am departure from SFO and 1:00 (ish) out of HNL. No movies or IFE then - long and boring for a kid.....
