Article On Air Deccan Looking At 737

Tue Dec 20, 2005 8:53 pm

Interesting article. A couple of possibilities:
* Air Deccan is looking to squeeze Airbus on future orders.
* Boeing has decided MAS is not going to order a NB anytime soon (or has chooses Airbus) and is making the delivery slots available to Air Deccan.

Airbus-loyalist Deccan looks at B737 in phase II

Quote:
The airline, which has been a loyal Airbus 320 customer with firm orders for 32 planes in its pocket, is said to be exploring better price options with its American rival. Market sources say the airline may be considering induction of 30-40 planes for the next round of ramp-up.
