DL To Restore MSY-SLC Nonstop?

Sat Dec 24, 2005 3:33 am

I've heard that nonstop service will resume (with a CR7 of all things) on 1/31/06. As of yet I don't see it in the schedules. Anyone have any insight to this?

If true, i'd imagine it'd have to be weight restricted fairly often.

DL is building up MSY pretty nicely with service to the East, but DL service to the West is severly lacking at the moment.

Anything is possible with DL.  biggrin
It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

I love DL and all, but they need to get more Emb170s and start putting CR7s back on shorter routes...

I get to fly on one of the EMB170's tomorrow. It will be the first I fly on that is in DL colors. I am looking forward to it. From SLC to RNO. And then on the 26th I get to fly on my first MD-90 and my first song FLT also from LAS to MCO. SO I get a few first for me on this short trip.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS ALL.
BE SAFE WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING.

At least it won't be a CRJ-100/200  Wink . But I agree, DL could do well with more E70s, but from what I know, there's two reasons currently blocking that:
1. Lack of money (even with Shuttle America flying them)
2. Lack of available 70-seater positions under the current scope clauses.
Personally, I'd guess that once DL and DALPA sign a new contract, it wouldn't be long before DL/Shuttle America announce plans to add some 10-20 more E70s.
