CO Plane Returns To FLL

Just walked in my house my mother heard on the tv that CO Newark bound aircraft from FLL returned due to some sot rof smoke in the cockpit....Haven't found anything on it but she saw the plane on the tv...

Continental 539 MIA_EWR a 737 diverted to FLL with smoke in the cockpit...

Do not know what the problem was .. But it was Ship 354, a 733. Sat in FLL for just under 2 hours before continuing on to EWR.
Working very hard to Fly Right....
