Ghana Airways leased a Lotus Air A320 and flew it on Accra to beirut via Cairo and from Accra to Dusseldorf (not sure if this is a non-stop)
Next destinations, Suarabaya, beirut, paris, Accra

That's an A319CJ, I believe. So it has the bigger fuel capacity.

MAN-SSH - 2555 nm
MAN-HRG - 2578 nm

The route is mostly now flown by the 757's and 767's!  Smile

I though that YYZ-LAX on an A320 (courtesy of AC) was pushing it, but I guess not.

I think it's somewhere around 4 hours and a bit (gate-to-gate).

I know that the longest route flown by LHs A32X fleet is from Frankfurt to Moscow at least I was told so by a LH A320 Co Pilot.
It will forever be a McDonnell Douglas MD 80 , Boeing MD 80 sounds so wrong

I seem to remember that CKT operated the A320 to Goa in India, but im not sure if that was non stop. I read it in their inflight magazine High Life. There was a feature on the head captain of the A320 fleet and he said how it was such a versatile airliner as it was happy flying short hops to ALC and back as it was stretching its legs on longer flights to the Canaries and beyond.

IIRC - CP at one time (mid 1990s) had an insanely long flight out of YVR to somewhere in Central America using the A320, flight time was over 6 hrs. I know this topic came up about five years ago but I couldn't find. Can anyone else remember this one?

This route was formerly operated by a 767 and I still believe this was the right solution to the actual situation: A320, most of the time overbooked, lots of problem with baggage (many times up to 30 bags remains on ground...) and very poor chances to load a single kg of cargo (in spite of a very high demand, on both ways).  crowded

For me this is a typical aviation mystery...  Confused

YYZ to LAX is more like five hours gate to gate, I did it the other week. About four hours forty in the air, which is the same as my previous long A320 flight, British Mediterranean's London Heathrow to Beirut flights, now double daily in BA colours.

I know Syrian fly LHR to Damascus and Royal Jordanian fly LHR to Amman using A320s - not all the time but ive seen them both. Thats got to be about five and a half - six hours i'd guess.

I've seen a TCX A320 at SSH too - with a G reg so that will have been from MAN or LGW. Thats a six hour flight.
What do you mean you dont have any bourbon? Do you know how far it is to Houston? What kind of airline is this???

If we can count A319s, Air Canada used to do YYZ-BOG with one. That is 2716 Miles (now it is a 763). Air Canada also does YYC-YHZ with an A319 at 2329 Miles.

Really? I thought that all MEX-YVR flights were with 18's and 19's only. That is a long flight for an A320 at 2,449 mi (2,128 nm), or about 5:40 hrs. I guess that the northbound segment really pushes the A320 limits a bit (MEX' altitude).
Next flights: MEX-LAX AM 738, LAX-PVG DL 77L, SHA-PEK CA 789, PEK-PVG CA A332, PVG-ORD MU 77W, ORD-MEX AM 738

Daimler-Chrysler's A-320 does an Oakland County/Stuggard a couple of times a week. Its not an "airliner" but a private plane with limited seating.
Sometimes it uses DTW instead of Oakland County(suburban Detroit-north).

Well not to nitpick, but it is a A319CJ actually, and when fitted with extra tanks (upto 6 in its lower hold), it's max range is: 6000NM

The Airbus web site lists the A320 at 3000nm with 150 passengers; the A319 at 3700nm with 134 one class and the A321 at 3000nm with 185 2-class.
These ranges are of course based on still air.
Doesn't appear that anyone is pushing these limits thus far.
