AA 119 EWR-LAX In ORD Now?

Wed Dec 28, 2005 10:49 am

Looks like AA 119 EWR-LAX has made an unscheduled stop in ORD this evening. Anybody know why?

Mechanical. Seems like they had a problem before leaving EWR and decided to fly to ORD to change a/c or wound up diverting.

Only problem before leaving EWR was ice around the doors which was removed during deicing process. Enroute, right hydraulic quantity reached "low" point with low qty caution light. Crew followed appropriate procedures and diverted to ORD. As of a couple of minutes ago, no reason for the low quantity has been posted to the plane's electronic logbook.

Hydraulic leak in the brake system caused low right hydraulic quantity and resevoir light.

Sort of.... this plane was originally scheduled to fly that flight, but obviously didn't. That flight's actual delay was unrelated.

Does anyone know if the 752 was a TW bird, or AA bird?

Thanks!

I'm working the holidays so you'll be safe. OTOH, I made a sign of that saying with a large  smile  at the bottom. Only use it on holidays --AA being such a serious airline duck -- where it tends to generate much cheer... and a lot of smiles --even from the grumpiest of travelers --i.e. flight attendants yes .

Incident plane was 5DF, cert.No: N688AA  santahat
