When I flew with FR (ABZ-DUB-ABZ) I went to sit down in the exit row. Then an F/A asked me "How old are you?", I said "15" and she said "sorry I'll have to ask you to move". Why? I've sat in exit rows on BA and LH before and I've had no problems. What really pissed me off was that across the aisle in the exit row there was an old woman (traveling alone I think) sitting at the window who needed help putting her bag up into the overhead bin. I am just as capable if not more capable of opening an emergency exit than that woman.
On the way back I sat down in the exit row again and an F/A asked me "sorry, are you over 18?" and I lied saying "yes of course" .
So Why do FR not let under 18s sit in the exit rows?
