Bae 146 In Australia, Still Used?

Thu Jan 05, 2006 8:00 am

backin 2001, I was lucky enough and in the right era to jumpseat on this aircraft.

And I believe QantasLink operated it.

Do they still use it? Do other airlines in Australia still use it? If so, on what routes can it be seen?

The BAe 146 is still used by Qantaslink. It is used mainly on regional routes in WA and NT. However they are being phased out in favour of the 717.

Australian Air Express have three BAe 146 freighters that fly between ADL-MEL-SYD etc.

Finally National Jet systems use them on charters.

Some of the Ex Qantaslink ones have been sold to Asian Spirit in the Phillipines.
