F9's 3 Nameless Animals Are Now Known As...

Fri Jan 06, 2006 7:02 am

After a company-wide employee contest was held late last year for the submission of suggestions for names for our remaining three previously nameless animals, the winners have finally been chosen:

These three newest names and the names of all the other animals in our fleet are announced by the flight attendants.

As usual, none of my names made the list! Hopefully one of these days, one of my submissions will be chosen. Big grin

NZBlue- Thanks for sharing! As always, I love your enthusiasm. When are you headed out west again?

Fly safe and see ya in the crew lounge!  Smile

I am proud to say that "Ozzie the Orca" (N903FR) was named by me!

LOL! None of my suggestions made it through, either  crying  I suggested 'Brandon the Gray Wolf,' 'Mick the Bighorn Sheep,' and 'Alice the Deer Fawn.' Oh, well  Smile What did you suggest?

Not quite sure when I'll be out west again. When I am, though, you can bet that an IKEA run will be well in order  bigthumbsup  I'll be sure to let you know.

Looking forward to flying with you at some point!

A gesture of goodwill towards the residents of New Mexico, similar to WN's "Maryland One," and other themed planes, perhaps?

If you get the point.

MSYTristar,

You lucky a.netter!!! Big grin Did you get your name placed on the left side just under the cockpit windows? I'll remember who Ozzie's "daddy" is the next time I take him for a ride.  Wink Perhaps to MSY? Wishful thinking.  Smile I hope all is well with you.

NZBlue,

I submitted my entry so long ago that I can't seem to remember the names. I just know I wasn't selected because my name wasn't listed.  Sad Oh well, I'll keep trying. After two years and more than 20 Airbuses later, I still have yet to have my day. But with all of the deliveries coming again, we still have more chances to win!  Smile Be sure and call me when you go to IKEA. I'll give you a ride if you promise to buy me something!  Wink

Happy Landings to you all! Big grin

They're 318's and 319's, not a 747's. silly
What the? Did everything just jump around? Or did my brain just stroke off there for a second?

No, my name isn't on the aircraft. If only I could be so lucky! They gave me a shout out on the employee website. I was hoping for at least a certificate, but to no avail. Oh well, it wasn't the end of the world. And I doubt very seriously that you'l be flying Ozzie or any of the fleet down to my neck of the woods anytime soon. Such a shame.

Yeah you mean an Elephant? They would have to either start service to India, Africa, or Thailand and the rest of SE Asia to get that on the tail haha

I see the F9 taxidermist in back on the time clock. I can appreciate Lobo, but Stanley and Cloe, Not!!  hissyfit

Stanley brings back bad memories of the spin off television show Three's Company and the character Stanley Roper. On the opposite spectrum I'm reminded of a cartoon which I think is still being aired of a youngen named Stanley. Although the theme song sung by the Baha Men was cool and should be played on the flight if Frontier ever begins service to the Caribbean

Cloe reminds me of a waitress I once knew.

Although I'm not an employee and my vote doesn't count, I thought "Rocky Top" would have been a neat moniker for the longhorn sheep critter. I guess F9 wants to use personal names.

I was thinking more along the lines of competition with WN at DEN.

Was that a typo or did F9 really misspell Chloe?

Not a typo, but rather the spelling 'Cloe' came directly from the F9 memo employees recieved regarding the new names.
