Thanks for that, snazzy music! Didn't realise they were getting brand new ones. What engines have they gone for?

They only have two new ones, out of a order for I believe 6. The other ones are ex-UA and ex-BA. VRA and VRB (two new ones) are GE engines.

No, BA's early 777's were GE. Since 2000 they've received RR, and some of the GE powered have gone.

Great movie. Did any one notice that in the section where they are testing the rudder, the rudder is painted in Boeing house colours?  Smile

I'm sure I've seen this movie before. About 10 years ago there was a TV series here in the UK about the design and make of the 777 program from the word go. They showed a very similar/almost identical clip during that, with the security guard at the beginning, crane operators etc, with the same music too.

Tbh I'm not sure this is VP-BRA at all, but a 777 prototype as hinted at above...

The video is great, but I wonder who they are trying to mislead with the sound while PP-VRA takeoff....  Yeah sure

I think this is the third PTQ video I've seen, but more probably exist. Can't remember the airline (perhaps it was just Boeing) for the first one, then it was JAL, now Varig. I guess they just change the ending where it gets painted to that of the specific airline. Would be cool to see for other airlines as well, I guess they do it for all of them. Music seems a little different on this too.

Now that was an awesome video. I like how they kinda made it custom for Varig...I saw one for a JAL 777 too (though in the middle of the video you see the rudder painted in Boeing house colors, I guess the only difference is the final painting sequence...I could be mistaken).

Does Boeing make these for all airlines and all aircraft types? I'd be interested in seeing more.

Also, remember that video, a time lapse like this one showing the assembly of an A346? Is there one for A380?
